In the role of Executive Director, she is dedicated to bringing together all of Ceiba’s stakeholders (staff, students, parents, and community) to fulfill Ceiba’s mission to prepare students to succeed in college.

Michael G. Jones joined the Ceiba Board of Directors in July, 2018. He recently retired after serving as Principal of Alianza Charter School for many years. Michael, along with his colleague Judy Stobbe, led the conversion of Alianza from a magnet school to a charter school in order to preserve the unique Two Way Bilingual Immersion Program that serves as the core of the school’s instructional program. He is committed to supporting efforts to provide excellent educational opportunities for the families of the Pájaro Valley.

Michael received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He received his Master of Arts in Educational Administration at the University of San Francisco. He is a member of the Watsonville Rotary and also serves on the Save Our Shores Board of Directors.

Olivia Madrigal has served the community as a professional and as a volunteer for more than thirty years. She has worked for several public agencies throughout the region and currently works in Emergency Communications in Monterey County. She has a deep background in the areas of human resources, policy development and implementation, and program management.

She is a member of the Santa Cruz County Civil Service Commission. She has also served as a board member for the Women’s Crisis Support and Girl Scouts of Monterey Bay organizations.

Her commitment to Ceiba is personal. Being the first generation of her family to attend college, she understands the challenges that families face. She is committed to Ceiba being a school that challenges students to reach their full potential in order to best prepare them for their future.
